Honeycomb cores provide the panels with the required bending rigidity and compressive strength. The fatigue life of these structures is significantly longer than that of conventional structures.
The combination of lightweight core with sheathing allows the use of thin sheathing materials. As a material for the core in honeycomb structures, honeycombs made of thin metal are widely used; honeycombs made of aluminum foil are most widely used.
Aluminum honeycomb filler - a structural material is made of aluminum foils of the АМг2-Н, 5052, 5056, А5Т, 3003brands by stretching the glued blanks. The shape of the cell is a hexagon providing the specified physical and mechanical characteristics.

The tests were carried out at a height of a honeycomb filler of 20 mm at room temperature in accordance with OST 1 01188-92.
